About -New York
New York is by far my favourite city in the world. I just love the energy there and seeing all of the iconic landmarks. The food is outstanding, the shopping is amazing, there are some of the top museums in the world and I love musical theatre so catching a Broadway play (or two) there is heaven.
It might seem overwhelming at first but New York is actually set up in a grid system and the neighbourhoods are clearly defined. I would say choose a few ‘hoods each day that are close to each other and just wander the streets and get lost. You definitely need to check out Soho, Nolita and Greenwich Village.
I highly recommend taking the subway in New York. It’s really easy to navigate, safe and has the best people watching. You can also Uber in New York which is a great option if you are a big group (we are a family of 5 so we do Uber XL), if it’s raining or if it’s rush hour.
